Juggling

One particular activity that is special to Pine Grove is juggling. All learn to juggle in physical education class as it "provides hand-eye coordination and teaches perseverance". In 2006 Pine Grove organized a mass juggling attempt to beat the current world record of "Most Objects Aloft at One Time". The attempt was held on Tuesday May 11 at Oakville Place mall and was attended by over 1000 jugglers from Pine Grove Public School, Eastview Public School and Blakelock High School. Jugglers even came from as far away as Georgia and South Carolina to participate in the event. Unfortunately, not enough jugglers attended to beat the record.

Reputation

Pine Grove students often continue in the French immersion program until receiving their bilingual certificate upon graduation of the 12th grade. Pine Grove students who continue in the French immersion program continue on to Thomas A. Blakelock High School for grades 9 to 12. Pine Grove students who decide not to continue in the French immersion program may continue on in an all-English program at Brookdale Public School, Eastview Public School, St. Mildreds Private School for Girls, St. Dominic's Catholic School, Morden Public School, Abbey Park High School, Thomas A. Blakelock High School, Appleby College Private School, Loyola Catholic Secondary School or St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School.

New Location

Due to Pine Grove's excess population of students, a new language-immersion school was built because of the popularity of French education in Southern Ontario. The school is called École Forest Trail Public School, located on Pine Glen Road in Oakville.
