In 1997 after years of solo gallery showings and various group shows Alain created his own arts event called Night of Artists http://www.NightofArtists.com http://www.cbc.ca/arts/story/2003/04/14/night140403.html. It began as a solo show featuring new works by Alain and live music. In 2003 Alain expanded the show across western Canada and not only showcased his own work but also the work of over 70 artists across Canada. In 2005 Alain again expanded the show across Canada. It is now an annual arts events in many Canadian cities.

In 2003, Alain founded "NOA magazine", the national arts magazine for Night of Artists. This magazine has a distribution base of 10,000 issues annually. http://www.NightofArtists.com

Alain has had international attention with his art projects including the collaborative "Lewis Lavoie's Mural Mosaic project http://www.muralmosaic.com http://www.cbc.ca/arts/story/2004/05/03/mural20040503.html which he co-produces with Lewis Lavoie and Paul Lavoie.
Alain along with mural designer Lewis Lavoie and co-producer Paul Lavoie were special guests of Queen Elizabeth II

The website www.muralmosaic.com is considered one of the highest traffic art websites in the world with over 23 million visitors from September 2007 - December 2008.
Participants in the murals include Robert Bateman, The Barenaked Ladies Kevin Hearn, The David Letterman Late show Orchestra's Felicia Collins, William Shatner, Bill Lishman, Premier Ralph Klein and Premier Lorne Calvert to name a few.

Alain was commissioned to create a mural for NHL Hall of Famer legend Grant Fuhr from the Edmonton Oilers for the city of Spruce Grove.

Alain has also designed three record covers for world champion quartet REALTIME,http://www.realtimequartet.com/index.php World Champion Chorus- Lions Gate http://www.lionsgatechorus.ca/ and two record covers for Blues record Label RUF RECORDS.
