The Church announced Sept 7, 2011 that the Payson Utah Temple groundbreaking will take place on 8 October 2011. "Elder Dallin H. Oaks will preside at the 9:00 a.m. meeting." The temple lot size has been increased from 10 acres to 20 acres, and it will be a 96,000 square feet, a little smaller than the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple
