History

Patriotas FC was founded in 2003, when the then governor of Boyaca Miguel Ángel Bermúdez, together with then coldeportes chairman were created the club Patriotas G&J for the reason of sponsor. The Boyaca's club was in the Semi-Finals and was eliminated for the Boyacá Chicó.
The next year, 2004, was advanced to the Semi-Finals and was eliminated for the Deportivo Antioquia, Centauros Villavicencio

. In 2005 was the second of the general table of championship but in the Semi-Finals was eliminated for the Bajo Cauca.
For the 2009 with the change of Championship, Patriotas was first in the Group B but was eliminated again in the Semi-Finals with six points and Third place. In 2010 the manager was Orlando Restrepo but after Carlos Mario Hoyos was took the place in the team.
