, a children's radio station. Upon graduation he landed a job as a freelance reporter at KDNL ABC 30 where he worked for the next two years. After leaving KDNL Clark began working at KPLR-TV

 WB11. He was a feature/entertainment reporter and fill-in sports anchor for the next six years. While reporting at KPLR, Clark also wrote a weekly column for Stltoday.com and taught a television production course at his alma mater SIUE for three years.

 on Thursdays and spend the night on the couch of a friend. The next morning Clark would tape Pulse and fly back to St. Louis to continue working at KPLR. In 2003 he moved to Los Angeles to continue as host and segment producer. In November 2004, along with other G4techTV programs, the show was cancelled.

In 2005, Clark began hosting Offbeat America for HGTV

, where he could be seen traveling the country in search of places we've never been and things we never knew existed. The highly-rated show aired Sunday evenings at 6 PM (ET/PT). Patrick interviewed the people behind these extraordinary American treasures, revealing their passions and inspirations.

In 2010, Clark moved back to St. Louis to again work for KPLR News 11. He is currently a feature reporter on the 7:00pm newscast, and on September 20, he will begin hosting KPLR 11's new newscast, News 11 at 4. Airing in the St. Louis area from 4-5pm on weekdays, and possibly eventually weekends, replacing the stations defunct 4:30pm newscast on weekends, which aired on Saturdays and Sundays from 2003-2006.

Personal life

A music lover, Patrick spends his spare time composing new music. In 1994 he released a children's album Moo Moo Vacation. While working in television in St. Louis, Clark released two more albums None The Worse For The Better and American Maid

. Both albums were well received by music critics in the Midwest. Among the featured songs on the discs were the title track “ AMERICAN MAID” and the popular WB theme and Emmy Award-winner “THE NIGHT IS YOUNG”, which was used in St. Louis, MO, Dayton, OH, and Knoxville, TN.  Both albums were released on the Tinker Records label.

Charitable work
