Along with three or four other directors in Schools TV in the 1980s, she helped to give children a voice in programmes made for them. For example, children sang many of the songs, did pieces to camera and voice-overs and, in drama programmes, child characters were featured as protagonists. Apart from television programmes, Pat has also had a number of articles and poems published.
