Established in 1913, Parramatta High School was the first co-educational school in the Sydney Metropolitan area. The school was previously a selective high school, and since 2010 it has been a partially selective school in the Parramatta region. It is a very multi-cultural school teaching students from all walks of life.

Parramatta High is a partially selective high school with an extensive curriculum and offers a wide range of elective subjects including Vocational Education and TAFE options for the Higher School Certificate.
