. Founded in 1997 by lead singer Nate Castle and trumpet player Tom Torrento, PBM (Poor Boy Music) has released two full length albums - Overview (2003) and One Sip at a Time (2006).

Between 2003-2007, PBM performed more than 500 shows nationwide and traveled approximately 250,000 road miles on their tour bus, aptly named "The Beast."

The UK Tour

In 2003, the band traveled to England for a 2-week tour, performing in several cities. The band was invited by indepenendent UK record label, Raw Fish Records. While on tour, PBM recorded a 5 song sampler called The Manchester Sessions at Manchester College. The band also performed at the In The City Festival, a major music festival. They showcased for major and independent labels and drew rave reviews.

One Sip At A Time Released

 gave 'yes' votes to advance PBM to the next round. On the July 19 episode, PBM was not asked to perform in the semifinal round; they were thus eliminated from the competition.

The College Years

After a successful UK tour, PBM appeared at NACA Nationals as an unsigned artist. Eventually they were signed to Degy Booking International. PBM performed at hundreds of college campus across the country, traveling over 250,000 miles via rental cars, tour bus and planes.

The Reunion Show

On February 13, 2009 PBM reunited with former members and new members for a sold out show at the Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan

. Those scheduled to appear include Nate Castle, Tom Torrento, Jeremiah Hoehner, Dave Jakubowski, Dave Krogh, Steve Zdanio, Gerry Castle and newcomer Matt Marion. The show will mark a new chaper for the group.

Side projects

During the PBM hiatus many side projects were formed to fill the void. Nate Castle formed a side project entitled, Nate Castle and The Sliders, which is now defunct. He also performs solo throughout the Metro-Detroit area in addition to performing acoustic shows with trombonist Jeremiah Hoehner, trombonist Dave Jakubowski and bassist Dave Krogh. Drummer Steve Zdanio formed the cover band The Domino Rally, which continues to perform in the Metro-Detroit area. Mike Thomas performs and tours nationally as a solo act, in addition to performing with the bands Moxie

, Big Nixon and The Hotel Wellingtons all based in New York. Guitarist Gerry Castle performs with the Balduck Mountain Ramblers. Trombone player Dave Jakubowski performs with the band Blasé Splee.
