match. After the match, however, Big Show attacked all four superstars. Big Show then announced that he would also compete in the match One Night Stand, making it a five-man Singapore Cane match.

Preliminary matches

The opening match of the night was Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Both men took advantage of the stipulation battling around the arena, which included Hardy sliding down a stair rail and hitting Umaga. Both men continued to fight to the outside into a car park. The match ended when Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb on Umaga off a truck and scored a pinfall victory.

The next match was the Singapore Cane match between The Big Show, John Morrison, CM Punk, Chavo Guerrero and Tommy Dreamer. The match started with The Big Show dominating. But all the other superstars grabbed canes and teamed up on The Big Show knocking him out the ring. Bam Neely and The Miz came out to help Guerrero and Morrison. The Big Show split his eye open after falling on the steel steps. The Big Show took out all the superstars with canes including Neely and Miz. The Big Show won by pinning Dreamer after a chokeslam and striking him with a cane.

The third match of the pay-per-view was the First Blood match between JBL and John Cena. Both men tried their best to get their opponent to bleed first by utilizing steel steps, the steel barricade and chairs. The match ended when Cena got tied up in the ring ropes & JBL claimed a bullwhip to use on Cena, but Cena gave him a low-blow and then used a steel chain to pull JBL's neck back, a move Cena calls the STF. That drew first blood. John Cena was the winner.

The "I Quit!" match was next contested between Melina and Beth Phoenix. Both used very creative and sharp submissions to make their opponent say the words "I Quit". Beth Phoenix won the match after a Glam Slam, and a very powerful submission pulling Melina's body back, thus, making Melina say "I Quit". It is also the first Divas "I Quit!" match in WWE history.

Main-event matches

The first main-event match was contested between Shawn Michaels and Batista in a Stretcher match. Both men tried to put each other on the stretcher, but failed to do so. The match ended with Batista rolling Shawn Michaels on the stretcher across the finish line.

The following match was a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship between the champion, Triple H, and the challenger, Randy Orton. Both men started the match with hard strikes trying to keep each other down. Orton hit Triple H with a DDT off the announcer's table but only kept Triple H down for a 9 count. Orton then hit Triple H with the steel ring steps, but only got a 2 count. Orton tried to choke Triple H with a cable but failed. Following this, Orton tried to execute the RKO on Triple H, but was countered with Triple H pushing him over the top rope. Orton then landed on the outside, but on his collarbone, which was broken legitimately. Orton could not answer the 10 count and as a result Triple H won the match and retained the WWE Championship.

The final match of the night was The Undertaker versus Edge in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship. Throughout the match both men used all the weapons in different ways. At one point, The Undertaker choke-slammed Edge over the top rope and through a ladder. All members of La Familia got involved. The match became a 5-on-1 handicap as along with as along with Edge, Chavo, Neely, Hawkins and Ryder also got involved. The Undertaker attempted to climb the ladder; Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder interfered and tried to put The Undertaker in between two tables, but he threw both Hawkins and Ryder through both tables on the outside. As The Undertaker was distracted, Edge started to climb the Ladder but The Undertaker executed a Last Ride on Edge off the ladder and through the two tables. The Undertaker again started to climb the Ladder but was stopped by Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely. The Undertaker hit both men with steel chairs. As The Undertaker reached the top of the ladder, Edge recovered and tipped The Undertaker off the ladder and crashing through four tables on the outside. Edge then climbed the Ladder and got the World Heavyweight Championship, thus winning, and as the per-match stipulation, forcing The Undertaker to leave the WWE. The Undertaker sat up after the match, left on his feet, and, for the first time in his WWE career, shed a tear.
