The Omora Sub-Antarctic Research Alliance (OSARA) is a U.S.-based non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to "exploring the biocultural wonders of the Cape Horn Archipelago". This goal is accomplished by promoting research, education and conservation in the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve

with the understanding that social wellbeing and biocultural conservation are inextricabley linked.

Since the creation of the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve in 2005, OSARA has taken the lead in articulating the international component of this initiative. To achieve these goals, OSARA has created a strategic alliance known as the Omora Alliance for Biocultural Conservation that includes the University of North Texas, the Center for Environmental Philosophy, the Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity, the University of Magallanes and the Omora Ethnobotanical Park.
