Plot

While on their way home from work, the Stooges get caught in a gun battle between two bank robbers and the guards of an armored car. The Stooges must try to figure out a way to track down the real crooks and clear their name. Returning to work at their restaurant, Captain Mullens comes in for a follow up interiew, and shows them a mugshot of "Lefty" Loomis (Kenneth MacDonald

One night just before closing, Loomis' henchman Red Watkins (Frank Lackteen

) enters the Stooges' cafe for a bite. At first, he does not recognize the boys, but Larry takes notice after a few moments. Watkins flees just as a friend of a Stooges, Gladys Harmon (Christine McIntyre

) enters the restaurant. The Stooges fill Gladys in, and she offers her car to help track the bank robber. After a 20 mile chase, the Stooges arrive at a deserted farmhouse where the robbers are hiding out. The Stooges try to find a way inside, and in the confusion they are unaware that Gladys has been kidnapped by the robbers as bait.
The Stooges work their way into the farmhouse and begin to search for the missing Gladys, but unknown to them Loomis and Watkins have unleashed a grotesque cleaver-wielding humanoid killer resembling an ogre

). While searching for the Stooges, Angel enters the cluttered storage room in the back of the house where Gladys has been left tied up and gagged. Upon seeing Angel's frightening appearance, Gladys frantically struggles to escape as Angel raises his weapon. Before Angel can strike with his cleaver the Stooges can be heard in the outer hallway and he pursues them, leaving a bound and helpless Gladys to watch. Angel scares the daylights out of the Stooges, and leads them on several chases throughout the home.

After Angel is captured by Shemp who drop a barrel on him, Mow and Larry are pursued by Loomis and Watkins who are also captured in similar fashion. After Lefty is captured, the bags of money from the armored car robbery tumble out of the barrel Shemp has trapped him in. Gladys meanwhile has freed herself and rejoins the Stooges who have secured the robbers. Overjoyed that they have captured the robbers and cleared their names, Shemp looses control and showers Gladys with kisses.
