History

It was formed mainly by members of Knighton Evangelical Free Church, also in Leicester

 in 1973, and was officially inaugurated on Friday 24 January 1975. In September the following year the Rev. Michael Stringer was inducted as the first pastor, a position he held until his retirement at the end of August 2007. Glenn Shotton was appointed Assistant Minister in July 2005 until he left at the end of 2006 to take up a pastorate in Surrey

The church currently leases the North Memorial Hall in Oadby

 for its meetings. This is on Stoughton Road, just off the main A6. The hall is sited on the North Memorial Homes estate which was originally built to house wounded members of the armed forces from the Great War.

Services

The main service times are 10:30am and 6.30pm on Sunday. Other events, including youth groups, art classes and a mums and tots group are detailed on the church web site.
