Northside Festival

The Northside Festival is an annual four-day summer showcase celebrating emerging "music, film, food, ideas and art" in Brooklyn. The festival is held at venues across the neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Greenpoint and is organized by The L Magazine. In 2011, over 250 indie rock, hip-hop and electronica performers were billed. Headliners included Guided By Voices

History

Northside was started in 2009 by Brooklyn's Northside Media Group, which publishes the L Magazine and Brooklyn Magazine out of DUMBO, - New York Times

The festival is a showcase of Brooklyn's recent cultural renaissance.

Beginning with about 50 acts in 2009, the festival has expanded exponentially in three years.
