In 2008, he was designated as the team's co-captain, which he held until his last year of eligibility. In those last two seasons, Baclao averaged 6.1 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 1.9 blocks per game. He played a major role in the Blue Eagles' conquest of their archrivals, the De La Salle
