Nofei Nehemia is an Israeli outpost east of Ariel

. A few dozen families live on the outpost.
The outpost is named after Nehemia Ben Yehuda, the head of a family who own a crane
company who have been very involved in assisting the establishment of settlements in the West Bank
.
Nofei Nehemia, like all Israeli outposts, is illegal under Israeli law. The Israeli government has pledged in the past to dismantle the outpost. The international community views Israeli outposts as Israeli settlements and considers them also illegal under international law
