Assimakopoulos also acts as producer for The Laurels Project. This project seeks to merge "the talents of writers, composers, and performers into an intelligent and articulate body of work, startlingly ambitious in conception and brilliant in design, with vital implications for current and emerging artists and audiences", according to the Laurels Project website.
