Nihan Kaya is a Turkish novelist, short-story writer, and Jungian literary critic.
As an undergraduate, Kaya studied English Literature at Boğaziçi University
. She was awarded a master's degree in Psychoanalytic Studies at University of Essex
, and later on, pursued her studies to doctoral level at King's College London
.
Kaya's earlier work was published in literature journals such as Hece, Dergâh, and Kökler. Her second book, The Garret, was chosen 'the best book of the year' in the Story category by the Writers Union of Turkey (Türkiye Yazarlar Birliği) in 2004.
