Newark is a city in Alameda County, California, United States. It was incorporated as a city in September 1955. Newark is an enclave, completely surrounded by the city of Fremont. Its population was 42,573 at the 2010 census.-Geography:...

. It was once Newark High, but was consolidated when the city made changes to the district layout. The school's layout and design still reflect its original purpose, with large fields and a stadium that were used at one time for high school athletics which now dwarf the school's athletic programs. It is located on Lafayette Avenue, with its stadium overlooking Newark Boulevard.

Newark Junior High School is home to the Ernie F. Silva Memorial Baseball Fields, home of Newark American Little League.

It is a school that is little known, though as won quite a few awards. One of their awards was second place in the wrestling club in California in 2008-2009.

Newark Junior high has 7th and 8th graders from the entire Newark district.

On Saturdays, it is used for Tri-City Chinese
