NBS mission is to identify, develop, and support athletes of color who will win international and Olympic

The current national president is Haymon T. Jahi.

Team NBS was formed to meet this mission. It is a national team under the direction of a coach and competition director, Andre Horton. Athletes are selected from the four regions: West, Rocky Mountain, MidWest, and East. Athletes receive training and support on a year to year basis through national, regional and local fundraisers which raise money for the Olympic Scholarship Fund.
