The feasibility study and environmental impact study are expected to take one year and the bidding process for a contractor is expected to take another year. Construction is expected to start in 2013 and last four (4) years. Allowing for another year of construction delays, commissioning of the new power station is expected in 2018. It is anticipated that the power generated at this power station will enter the national grid at a new substation, close to the power station, along a new 132kV transmission line from Kaiso-Tonya to Fort Portal
