, and others.

It was featured in a full-page spread in the March 2009 issue of Nylon, in the July 2009 issue of Poets & Writers, and in July 2011 The Morning News published a long article that said: "Many readers seek out fiction for escape, but Muumuu House writers give their audience a direct representation, in fiction, of the lives they already lead. Their poems and stories are directed at a very small social subset, and are probably interesting only to that specific group of people, and only right now. One day, though, they may begin to interest the rest of us as well."

It is unorthodox in that it publishes selections from writers' Twitter accounts and also Gmail Chats.

Michael Schaub, writing for Bookslut, said of the first two books: "I read both these books recently, and reread them both immediately after finishing them. Gorrell and Kennedy are the most talented young poets I've read in years, and their books are stunning — it's the kind of writing that's impulsive and emotionally raw, but also more layered and sophisticated than they appear. It's hard for any poet to be funny and heartbreaking in the space of one poem, or even one stanza, but it's a skill these young writers execute perfectly. They made me excited about poetry and independent publishing all over again."

In an interview with Fictionaut possible future projects were described: "Muumuu House plans to continue to publish books in high-quality offset editions featuring minimalist designs and a Helvetica interior. Future books include a possible Bear Parade anthology, a possible annual anthology of fiction and poetry, and possible books by single authors already published on Muumuu House’s website."
