. The current convention center is the 115th largest in the country competing for one-fourth of the convention market. This new project will allow the city to compete for three-fourths of the convention market. It will be located on a 16 acres (6.5 ha) site bounded by 5th Avenue, 8th Avenue, Demonbreun Street, and Franklin Street, adjacent to the Bridgestone Arena and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
