Principal

The current principal is Shawn McNulty, formally a principal of Rolling Hills Elementary School and Eagleville Elementary School.

Phantom Legion

In March 2011 the Mukwonago High School Marching Band made the announcement that they would be changing their name to the Phantom Legion. Along with the name, the band changed their identity buy investing in new uniforms. The Phantom Legion was chosen to represent Wisconsin in the 2011 National Independence day parade in Washington DC.

MHS Cheer Squad

Mascot Controversy

During the 2009-2010 school year, a Mukwonago High School senior filed a complaint to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction

claiming that the Indians mascot and logo were racially discriminative against Native Americans. The school fought the accusations, but on October 8, 2010, the Department decided to strip the school of the nickname and logo. After much controversy, Mukwonago High School returned to court a year later, and the claim of having to change the school's mascot due to it being "race-based" was announced unconstitutional. Mukwonago High School was permitted use of the Indian logo and mascot.
