Club career

Mustapha Bangura or Hadji, as he is commonly known was born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone to parent from the Temne ethnic group. He attended the Sierra Leone Grammar School Murray Town Freetown. Hadji was the best footballer at his secondary school and one of the best young footballers in Sierra Leone. Also he has the fastest goal scoring record in the history of junior Sierra Leonean football and secondary school competition. In 2004 he joined Old Edwardians, one of the top clubs in the Sierra Leone National Premier League
