The vegetation is mostly eucalyptus
forest. The Imlay Mallee and Imlay Boronia
are rare plants growing near the mountain's summit. However, there is a two hectare rainforest remnant surviving in a fire free gully. It consists mostly of Black Olive Berry trees.
