Town name

Town name - as the oldest known name for a cottage from 1667 containing the word
"Morgongåva" (Translated: "Wedding gift" or "Morning gift"). The reason that the cottage was called so is not entirely clear, but
according to some, the name choice about a love triangle. During the 17th century,
Patron of Molnebo, just outside Morgongåva an affair with one of their
maids. She became pregnant and the cartridge was afraid that his wife would find out
relationship. He "bought" one of the farmhands who would provide for the girl and the
next child, and when the maid servant and married, they were a cottage
wedding gift, "morning gift", hence the name.
Quote from Heby Municipality: "Morgongåva is the extension of the name of a recent two
croft called so. The origin of the name is claimed to be a gift from a bride
lord of the manor here for a maid. "
