Morgan competed in her first pageant in August 2008, earning the runner-up honor at the Miss Sioux Empire Fair pageant, as well as winning the talent competition. She won her second pageant, and assumed the title of Miss USD.
She was crowned Miss South Dakota
2009 on June 20, 2009, and competed unsuccessfully in the Miss America 2010
