. The Montville Extended Day Learning Center was formed in 1994 by Agnes Tubbs.

Any Montville student in grades Kindergarten through Grade 5 is eligible to attend, provided he/she is toilet trained.
  • Parents are responsible for Transportation to and from the centers.
  • No Medications may be given by M.E.D.L.C. staff.
  • The Emergency phone chain will be used only if M.E.D.L.C. is cancelled.

Hours

The centers will operate:
  • Before School 7:00 AM to 8:05 AM
  • After School 2:55 PM to 6:00 PM


The centers will begin operation on the first day of school. They will end on the final day of school. They will be open during delayed openings and early dismissals. Optional full day sessions will be scheduled during snow days and most school vacations / holidays for regularly attending M.E.D.L.C. students at an extra $4.00/hour charge.

A child must be signed in and out of M.E.D.L.C. by a parent/guardian.

Please note: Lunch and a drink must be provided from home on all days. The centers only provide a snack.

Please use your schools M.E.D.L.C. cellular number between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM and after 3:00 PM.

AM Session
  • 7:00 AM to 8:05 AM - Reading; Quiet Games; Computers


PM Session
  • 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM - Snack Time/Bathroom
  • 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM - Homework Time/Physical Activity (Outdoor or in Gym)
  • 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM - Special Activities (Computers, Board Games, Crafts, Cooking, etc., on a rotating basis) and or Homework Time.
  • 5:15 PM - 6:00 PM - Independent Reading/Quiet Games/Homework
