The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) is a global non-profit trade association established to foster growth of mobile marketing. The MMA's stated goals are to clear obstacles to market development, establish mobile media [guidelines and best practices]http://mmaglobal.com/policies for sustainable growth, and evangelize the use of the mobile channel. History

The association was founded through the 2003 merger of the Wireless Advertising Association (WAA), a New York-based non-profit trade association founded in 2000, and the Wireless Marketing Association (WMA), a UK-based organization also founded in 2000. The MMA UK had 20-30 members in 2002, and the MMA North America remained at around 10–20 member companies until 2005 when mobile marketing began to take off in the United States. MMA established two national chapters in Austria and Spain and regional branches for EMEA

In October 2010, the MMA board of directors appointed Greg Stuart former CEO of the Internet Advertising Bureau as its Global CEO.
