. He has relocated several times to several different cities, including Toronto, and Halifax. Evin's primary instrument is the piano and keyboard instruments, though he also played guitar on his first album. His main touring piano is a small 64-key upright he named Beatrice.

Evin has released three albums and one E.P. since 2001. His second album, I'll Bring The Stereo, was co-produced by Barenaked Ladies

Evin has performed both with a backing band, and as a solo act. In February 2009, he was an artist on the Barenaked Ladies' cruise, Ships and Dip V. He performed several shows backed by the Creeggan brothers, and Tyler Stewart.
