Micki Dickoff

Micki Dickoff is a writer, director, and producer of social commentary films. Her latest work, Neshoba: The Price of Freedom, opened theatrically in New York and Los Angeles to critical acclaim and won numerous awards in film festivals worldwide.

Dickoff was raised and educated in Florida

 and received her Master's Degree from the University of Florida in 1972. She moved to Boston and taught filmmaking at Grahm Jr. College and Emerson College. After winning an Emmy in 1987 for her AIDS documentary Too Little, Too Late, she went to Los Angeles to make dramatic films about AIDS and other social issues. Her multi-award winning AIDS drama, Mother, Mother, was made through the generosity of the Hollywood community and raised hundreds of thousand dollars for AIDS research. In 1996, she produced and directed, In the Blink of an Eye, a television movie about the death penalty and the power of friendship. Currently she is the head of Pro Bono Productions where she continues to develop documentary and narrative films about pressing social issues.

Since 1993, Dickoff has been working on a documentary on the female members of the Manson Family and has attended each parole hearing for Susan Atkins
