Comuna Micăsasa este situata la 58 km de municipiul Sibiu, 17 km de orasul Copsa-Mica si 27 km de municipiul Medias. Relieful este deluros (podisul Tarnavelor) brazdat de apele raului Tarnava Mare, zona propice unei agriculturi intensive. Peisajul in care se afla comuna Micăsasa este deosebit de frumos (vezi peisaje). Zona dealurilor aflata pe teritoriul localitatii reprezinta un loc prielnic pentru cultura vitei de vie si a pomilor fructiferi, iar luncile de pe malurile raurilor sunt zone ocupate de culturi agricole: cereale, porumb, sfecla de zahar si furajera, cartofi, legume. Clima este temperat-continentala cu ierni blande si veri calduroase. Precipitatiile variaza intre 750 si 1200 mm/mp, iar media temperaturii anuale este de 9°C.
