Local facilities include a village hall (newly built in 2001), a garage and general store, a B&B and a public house. There is also a mansion house nearby, by the name of Warthill House. The village consists of a few older buildings surrounded by several newer buildings, with plans just passed for a large 23 house development. The village is in the catchment area for Rayne North, a small school which consists of two classes and around 35 pupils.
