Maureen was fired in December 2007 from WTVH-TV for non-disclosed reasons to the public. It has since been suggested that it had to do with her salary. The station also did not renew a contract with long-time anchor Matt Mulcahy in 2004 and had made a long series of cutbacks ultimately ending in the closure of WTVH's news operations in 2009.
