in 1982. In 1983 she joined the WTVH team at the anchor desk. Through Green's 22 years at WTVH she worked with the likes of Mike Tirico

, and Ron Curtis. Maureen was known for her interviews, including one with Oprah Winfrey
.
Maureen was fired in December 2007 from WTVH-TV for non-disclosed reasons to the public. It has since been suggested that it had to do with her salary. The station also did not renew a contract with long-time anchor Matt Mulcahy in 2004 and had made a long series of cutbacks ultimately ending in the closure of WTVH's news operations in 2009.
Maureen Green is married with four children including up and coming artist Christian Green
and has subsequently appeared on Bridge Street, a WSYR-TV
