City Council

In January 2007 at the age of twenty, Delligatti became the youngest ever city councilman of Fairmont after winning an election in November 2006. Matt and his older brother Anthony ran the campaign together. He ran against and beat three local businessmen for the seat..

On January 14, 2009 at the age of twenty-two, Delligatti was chosen mayor of Fairmont by a 5-3 vote of the city council, becoming the youngest person ever to hold that title.
