 in 1973 when she joined a small activist organization called Citizens Against Atomic Danger, while working as a schoolteacher. For over thirty years, she has coordinated anti-nuclear demonstrations, written numerous newsletters and articles, and organized international symposia. She also published the book Worst Case Scenario Chernobyl.
