, and is the only high school in the Martinsville public school system. As of 2007, its Boys Basketball Team has won 13 State Championships. It offers such programs as the International Baccalaureate, Piedmont Regional Governor’s School, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment classes. During the 2006-2007 school year a new joint program, with the assistance of Patrick Henry Community College, will allow a select group of juniors and seniors and opportunity to earn their Associate's Degree (64 college hours) before graduation. The arts are also alive and well at Martinsville High School. Along with our marching band recently performing in the Virginia Inauguration parade our school is currently hosting the Regional Choir Performance as well. Our Gospel Choir is well known state wide. Gospel Choir is also a class offered at Martinsville High School. The choir has also formed a new ensemble.
