on 11 February 2005, having been at Rangers since 1996 and a board member from 2000. He previously undertook roles as Commercial Manager and Director of Football Business.

On 15 July 2008, Bain was elected to the Scottish Premier League's board of directors.

On the 24th May 2011 Martin Bain was suspended from the Rangers board pending an internal inquiry.
