, he is responsible for all daily operations and providing the legislative body with policy advice on a variety of issues. He has lead numerous development and infrastructure projects including improvements to Denison Parkway, renovation of the Bridge Street Bridge, the construction of a new youth sports complex, and upgrading the Nasser Civic Center Plaza.

Mr. Ryckman has an extensive public safety background. In addition to his duties as the City Manager of the City of Corning, he also serves as the City's Director of Public Safety with responsibility for issuing all rules, policies and procedures to manage the Police and Fire Departments. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Public Safety Spectrum Trust Corporation in Washington DC which is working with the Federal Communications Commission
