Maddikera is located at 15.2500°N 77.4167°E. It has an average elevation of 456 meters (1499 feet).

Maddikera has a population of over 40,000 people and is still considered to be a village. There is a famous temple of "Maddikera Maddamma" the local goddess. The statue of the Maddamma is made of wood, and there is annual carnival that is held in this village. In the olden days pregnant women were not allowed to visit the temple of maddamma as the statue looks very fearful. It is also said that the statue has been refurbished as people were fearing a lot to look at the goddess. The village itself is a quite calm and nice place. People are warm and funny.This is recognized as the biggest village in india.
