 designed by Mesa Robotics. As with many other contemporary military robot designs, it is small and relatively portable; MATILDA is 30 inches long, 12 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and weighs 61 pounds, (28 kilograms) counting the batteries. Also like other military robots, MATILDA has a modular design. The robot can be configured with cameras, an explosive disrupter unit for disabling bombs, or a manipulator arm. MATILDA is a treaded robot, with a top speed of 3 feet per second. Should a tread be damaged, it can be replaced with a new one within 5 minutes.
