Geography

Luchsingen has an area, , of 30.7 km² (11.9 sq mi). Of this area, 26.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 31.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 2% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (39.4%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).
