, better known as multi-platinum rapper The Game is one of the Los Angeles SLAM players. In the fall and winter, Taylor plays for the Los Angeles Slam; in the spring and summer, Taylor plays for the SLAM's affiliate team the Hollywood Jammers. Another well known player for the Los Angeles SLAM is Larry Williams AKA " Bone Collector". Larry is considered one of the best freestyle street ballers in the world. He is a Rucker's Park & AND1 Legend. There are also four Los Angeles SLAM players who are members of " The Game's" group BWS. They are BWS Stix Money, BWS XO , BWS Jarred Marc and BWS Jason Cross. The Los Angeles SLAM has been successful in adding ex NBA players and top college players to their roster.

The Los Angeles SLAM finished the 2009-2010 American Basketball Association (ABA) season ranked as high as 6th in the Nation. There were 54 professional basketball teams that competed in the 2009-2010 basketball season.The Los Angeles SLAM finished their season by winning and finishing 1st in the American Basketball Association Southern California Division. The Los Angeles SLAM made it to the Final 8 in the American Basketball Association Playoffs.
