The bridge is of Town lattice design built by Sheldon and Savannah Jewett - brothers who built several bridges in the area.

Recent history

A complete restoration was conducted in 1992 by Jan Lewandoski. At this time, the bridge is leaning to one side and the trusses are bowed in the middle. It is unknown whether efforts are being planned to correct these problems.
