The mouse comes with software called SetPoint, in which the user can set these different resolutions, and adjust the mouse in several different ways. The G5 includes Teflon feet.

Revisions

In 2007, a newer revision of the G5 was made available which adds an additional side button, the lack of which was a main criticism of the model. It has a new patterned blue "grippy" upper surface, as opposed to the rust colored body of the original version. The middle mouse button was also revised, correcting issues going back to the MX series.
