(1)Though Pakistan has most Punjabi speaking people,without government support and patronage Punjabi tv channels are not increasing as should be.Punjabi is used by more than 45% Pakistanis as first language but Punjabi channels are not making progress.2- In India almost every Punjabi TV channel (except DD PUNJABI and news channels) take much interest in Punjabi music programmes for example once Zee Punjabi channel was popular for its Punjabi serials but now it has also chosen to focus on Punjabi music. The competition with Hindi entertainment channels and boom in Punjabi music industry are two main reasons for this tendency.
3- Almost every Punjabi TV channel in Canada, the UK and USA are connected to the Indian Punjabi and Sikh diaspora.

- Day & Night News has collaborated with Canada-based G-Punjab to reach out to North Indian Diaspora in North America, particularly from Punjab.
Though Day & Night News in India is a multi-lingual news station (Punjabi, Hindi and English), the service launched in the US is in Punjabi.
This service is now available on Dish Network of the US on channel number 621.
