Saida was originally conceived as an "overtly plump and made-up" dancer which Bond would have some repulse, but the producers decided to change to a "classic" Bond girl. The scene where Bond takes the bullet from Saida was also different, originally being conceived as an homage to Bond and Tatiana Romanova
