 was first mentioned in documents from 14th century. The names of other villages were found in more modern documents. According to a 1900 ethnographic survey, the numbers of inhabitants at that time were as follows:
  • Lajthica - 70
  • Pustec (now Liqenas) - 410
  • Zrnovsko - 250
  • Cerje (now Cerja) - 120
  • Šulin (now Belas) - 270
  • Globočani (now Gollomboç) - 248
  • Dolna Gorica (now Goricë e Vogël) - 42
  • Gorna Gorica (now Gorica e Madhe) - 285
  • Tuminec (now Kallamas) - 360.


The "La Macédoine et sa Population Chrétienne" survey by Dimitar Mishev (D. Brankov) from 1905 shows that the local Christian inhabitants were divided between Bulgarian Exarchate
