Life and career

Stirling was born in Orange County, California

. At the age of 5, after being influenced by the classic music records played by her father, she requested the opportunity to learn and play the violin. Despite the family's struggling financial situation, Stirling received lessons at the age of 6.

Stirling was classically trained through private lessons and orchestras for 12 years. When she was 16, she joined a rock band with four friends. As part of her experience with the band, Stirling wrote a solo violin rock song, and her performance helped her to win both the title of Arizona’s Jr. Miss in 2005 and the talent category of the National Jr. Miss Pageant.

2010 – Present

After Stirling's success reaching the quarterfinals of America's Got Talent in the fall of 2010, Stirling began to pursue her career as a solo artist. She released an EP digitally in 2010, and in 2011 she began to grow in popularity due to her music videos on YouTube
