History

The chain began from its first location in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

Several locations were added to the Minneapolis–St. Paul area before the chain began expand to suburban and exurban

Life Time Fitness hosts a series of indoor triathlons and several 5K and 10K Runs. They also host the Outdoor Life Time Fitness Triathlon on Lake Nokomis

Life Time Fitness is part of the Triathlon Series titled "Race to the Toyota Cup". This series partners the Life Time Fitness Triathlon with the Nautica New York City Triathlon, the Chicago Triathlon, and the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon, ending with the Toyota Cup Triathlon.
